In Wales there are over 40,00 voluntary organisations with around three-quarters of a million people undertaking some form of voluntary work.

"Volunteers" is a project which focusses on one of the leading charities and captures work of The Royal National Lifeboat Institution, RNLI, featuring the work of the Barry Dock Lifeboat Station. The Station's volunteers regularly risk their own lives to save the lives of others at sea.

The culmination of the project will be an exhibition and book which it is hoped will further promote the work of this important charity.
